I suffered a weight-lifting injury to
my left shoulder which resulted in a strength decrease of 50% and which
was accompanied by near-constant sensations of numbness and 'pins &
needles."
After 3 weeks, the numbness had become
less regular, but the weakness persisted. And I happened to walk into
Jacobs Chiropractic in search of a massage, determined that this would
help me.
Within a few minutes, Dr. Jacobs had
diagnosed my problem as being a dislocation of the left clavicle, and
also deterioration of the cervical bones in the neck.
I began chiropractic care under her
direction that same afternoon. Later that same week, x-rays from an
orthopedist confirmed her earlier diagnosis.
In the 2+ weeks I have been under her
care, the numbness has all but entirely subsided. I might feel the
sensation for a few seconds every couple hours, whereas prior to this,
I had been feeling some numbness sensation at nearly all times.
Strength is also returning to my left shoulder.
I could not possibly be more delighted with the care i am
receiving from Dr. Jacobs. Perhaps more importantly, I leave each brief
session with her with a better understanding of the injury, exercises
and strategies to help the recovery, and deepening satisfaction in
knowing that taking the initiative to walk into her door was a very
smart thing to do.
